Diary Entry

June 28 2007-

One day before the presentation. After 2-and-a-half years we finally produced the first-ever iPhone. I checked on the presentation and I'm proud to say that it will be a successful hit. In one tiny device we have nearly everything that one could fit: internet, iTunes (which I am exceptionally proud of), and to the audience, it is going to seem like magic. I really can't wait for tomorrow. They say that my keynote presentations are the best, so I feel confident that the iPhone is going to be a good sell. Even thinking about it is making me giddy. I am a little nervous but I can't wait.

After the talk. Writing because I feel like I need something to talk to, and this seems perfect. I have to be honest, screwing up the talk was my biggest fear. The iPhone! The most recent Apple breakthrough! My other fear was that I wasn't persuasive enough, but that was easily quashed. The support from the audience easily helped me overcome that. Now I am confident that the iPhone is going to be a good sell. I mean, like people everywhere are saying that my presentations are the best in the world, and I have to admit I looked at all my presentations after I presented them, I would have to say that they are very interesting and engaging. To a normal person, it looks like, well, a presentation. It wasn't boring or anything. The millions of people watching thought close to the same as me.

The sales charts came in, and we've already sold 270,000 iPhones. Just in one day.! That is unbelievable. It means that we sold 97.75 iPhones every minute! That is insane. I couldn't believe IT. I thought that people were going to think that it was too expensive but I guess they feel that they can't live without it because they loved the idea. It was incredible. Not only was it the breakthrough of the century, but the sales rate that we were selling it at was unbelievable! I cannot express how surprised I am.

The second iPhone is underway. It is the iPhone 3G. Why 3G you may ask. It is because that 3G provides 2x faster download and browsing rates. It is even more amazing than before. . I have already made my presentation, and I can't wait to present the new device at WWDC. We hope that it would be a better sell. Selling 6 million iPhones last year exceeded my expectations. I didn't expect that many people would seize the opportunity but now they next in line for the show. The iPhone 3G! It's cheap and amazing, and we made sure about the customer satisfaction. I have that feeling that this is going to get us a lot of money, mainly because we're going to sell globally!
